Skipton AC is a small athletics club based in Skipton. The club caters for athletes of all abilities and disciplines (typically road running and fell running as well as track and field events). Results for the Wharfedale TTT weekend racing 'extravaganza' (4th 5th 6th July) with race comment by Justin Hill.

 

Race comment:

Conditions for TTT race were an eye opener, 20yd visibility on anything above 400m, which is quite a lot on Great Whernside, first time have ever just pointed a compass and run on the bearing! One moment that will stick with me for a long time was on the approach to the trig. I Had been running in a group of 4 or 5 and had not seen anyone but a marshal for the last 40mins. All of a sudden a group of about 15 runners appeared out of the 'clag', joined us, and it felt as if the race had started all over again at the summit!....    Justin Hill
